The Works remains closed during the COVID-19 Health Emergency. All recreation programming and services at the Aquarena, Field House and other facilities are cancelled. This includes swimming lessons, fitness centres, and facility bookings. Tim Hortons is also closed.
We are unable to provide a timeline of when The Works will reopen for regular programs and services.
Many of our customers are wondering how this affects their program registration and memberships.
All membership payments, through automated credit card and bank deduction, have been suspended immediately. MUN Payroll deductions will stop as of the April 9th, 2020 pay day. All other payroll partners for Corporate Memberships have been contacted to stop payroll deductions
Memberships that were paid in full over the counter have been suspended and expiry dates will be extended accordingly.
Swimming Lesson Customers:
We are providing the opportunity for customers to request credits or refunds for swimming lessons for the period after March 14, 2020.
At this time, we are unable to provide a date when classes will resume.
The Works will not be charging any administration or processing fees for requests due to the COVID-19 closure.
Customers will have the choice to receive a credit and retain their time slot OR forfeit their time slot and apply for a refund. We are unable to provide a timeline for processing these requests as resources are limited.
