Things you need to know!

Camp Hours:

  • Camp will run from Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Children in camps operated from The Works are to be dropped off at the Field House Camp Whatchamacallit door between 8:30–9:00 am and must be picked up between 5:00–5:30 pm
  • Early Drop Off : There is an early drop off option for parents who need to drop their children off between 7:15- 8:30am. The cost is $15 per week. Children must be registered to attend Early Drop-Off.
  • Camp will operate from several buildings and outdoor fields on MUN campus.
  • Please note that Camp Whatchamacallit will not run on Regatta Day.
  • If your child is sick we ask that you notify the camp office at 864-2122 that day so the camp counsellor will know not to expect your child.

 

Check-In & Check-Out Procedures:

  • Check in and check out will be through the Camp Counsellor assigned to your child`s section.

Campers Must Bring Daily:

  • Sneakers (no black soles)
  • Extra Shorts & T-shirt
  • Swim Wear & Towel
  • Campers must come prepared to enjoy one of our lunch options or bring a packed lunch and one nutritious snack
  • Sunscreen
  • All Weather Clothing (i.e. long pants, warm clothing, rain gear, jacket, etc)
  • Please write your child’s name on all clothing and items they bring to camp.
*Camp Whatchamacallit does not recommend campers bring valuables such as electronic devices, Mp3 players, iPods, iPhones, cellphones, personal gaming devices/games (PSP, DS, DSi), etc. The Works and Camp Whatchamacallit are not responsible for lost or stolen items.*

 

Credit/Refund Policy - Medical Reasons Only:

Refund/credit requests will not be processed without
original receipt of payment and medical note
  • If your child is sick you must notify the camp office at 864-2122 that day so the camp counselor will know not to expect your child.
  • Refund/credit application forms are available at the Camp Whatchamacallit Office (main entrance Field House) or at the Aquarena or Field House Customer Service Centres.  Once your form is completed you must pass it, your medical note and receipt into the locations listed above.
  • No refund or credit will be issued if we receive your application after the second day of each weekly camp
  • Credits and Refunds will be subject to a $15 administration fee plus the cost of days received/or passed up to the refund/credit application submission date.
  • Please allow 30 days for processing of refunds/credits.
